founded on the 4th of August 2005 through the collaborative efforts
of Director Bruno Pischiutta, Executive Producer Daria Trifu and Screen-Writer
(Evangelical Pastor) Kingsley Sam Obed.

Second Graduation Ceremony in Accra for Toronto Pictures Film Academy of Ghana Students.

The Film Academy's daily operations are managed by its CEO Kingsley
Sam Obed while Bruno Pischiutta and Daria Trifu hold the respective
positions of Chairman and President.
The Ceremony was attended by over 200 people amongst which were traditional
rulers, kings and queens, members of the local press and Government
officials. The event was also attended by the members of the Ghana
Producers Association as well as by the Chairman of IGBO Community
Association (Nigeria).
In particular, gracing this special occasion were the Commissioner
and the Public Relations Representative for Human Rights & Administrative
Justice Mrs. Hanna Bossman and Sam Bosomptwi, Mr. Kwesi Gibson Personal
Assistant of Honorable Asamoah Boateng - Minister for Tourism and
Diaspora Relations, Executive Members and the President of Ghana Actors
Guide Mr. Samuel Odoi Mensah, His Royal Highness Tesehi Mantse, Ghanaian
Actress and Personality Ms. Akofa Edjeanu Asiedu and Senior Int. Banker
(Unibank) Mrs. Gladys Teni Makonnen. Also present were Rev. (Dr) Emmanuel
Tetteh (Presiding Bishop, Messiah Int. Bible Church) and Rev. Samuel
Nii Aryee (Grace Outreach Church).
Bruno Pischiutta and Daria Trifu, along with Kingsley Sam Obed and
the lead actors of the feature film "Punctured Hope," Mr. Samuel Ruffy
Quansah, Ms. Frost Asiedu and Ms. Tonye Agabo were interviewed by
the national television network GTV for their "Breakfast Television"
show. Also present was Broadcast Journalist Mr. Frank Aidem.
Local artists and Members of the Academy have designed and produced
two prototype T-Shirts dedicated to Daria! magazine. The international
Art, Entertainment & Business magazine, distributed throughout
world film festivals, at special events and directly mailed to top
media, world leaders and film executives, has featured several articles
on topical African issues to date. It remains committed to addressing
subjects of international interest that concern the African continent
in its future editions.
The Graduation Ceremony was the first stop during an intensive 2-week
trip by Pischiutta and Trifu to Ghana. Their agenda has included meetings
with Government officials, press conferences, radio and TV interviews
as well as an official address to the Academy members.
As part of Pischiutta and Trifu's efforts to sustain the development
and growth of the Toronto Pictures Film Academy of Ghana, they brought
valuable video equipment to be used in the future training of the
students. In tandem with Toronto Pictures' commitment to donate 10%
of the net profit of the feature film "Punctured Hope" for the development
of infrastructure in the village of Kpobikope, on the outskirts of
Accra, Pischiutta and Trifu met with the village's representatives
and brought solar lamps for the habitants.
