Meet Actress Helen Laurens

Helen is playing a role in the upcoming mega-film project, The Trilogy. She is being represented by the Global Film Actors Agency.

Helen Laurens is a Latvian-born British actress. She has starred in over 30 productions in her career. Helen started her career on stage, playing leading roles in productions like Road, DNA, A Streetcar Named Desire and several Shakespeare plays. However, her main passion has always been film. She has starred in over 15 films in 2023 alone and hopes to continue reaching success in the film industry.

Helen grew up in the city of Riga, Latvia. After relocating to the UK with her mother at a young age, she became keen on pursuing an acting career. Despite struggling with confidence and depression for many years, her drive and passion for art was stronger than any negative emotion she has ever felt. Helen lives with no regrets and is grateful for every experience in life, as she feels it has only benefited her performance.

When asked about her goals, it’s quite simple – she just wants to tell stories. “I get to be me for the rest of my life, there is nothing more exciting than being someone else. One of the greatest things about film is that it lives forever. People don’t, but characters do.”

Established in 2012, the Global Nonviolent Film Festival is the most important and renown nonviolent film festival in the world.

The 2024 edition will take place from September 26 to October 7.

Submissions are accepted in the following categories:

  • Feature: live action, documentary, docudrama, and animation;
  • Short: live action, documentary, docudrama, and animation;
  • Music Video.
